What mesmerizes me about my ceramic cats is that they all start with a ball of mud which goes through an incredible transformation and becomes a whimsical cat. These cute and funky cat pins were no exception. They all started as weird shapes of clay that went through two firings to bring my vision of the kitty pins to life.
At first I created weird shapes of cats which then were fired for the first time at low temperature to make them ready for glazing.
Glazing was definitely a lot of fun and as a result no pin was the same.
At the end the kitties were ready and the cat pins looked like delicious brightly coloured candy. You can easily wear these little kitties on your clothes, bags and what not to spread good and happy vibes around you!
